What the Job Entails
- Rigorously track all child allergies and food restrictions, prepare alternative meals as needed, and ensure that no child eats anything prohibited by their parents
- Follow an established 8-week menu cycle
- Prepare and deliver all meals daily to 14 classrooms – morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack
- Inventory all food and kitchen supplies and place USFoods orders every week to supply the school
- Follow all ServSafe and Board of Health required practices
- Clean the kitchen, dishes, and materials daily with proper cleaning and sanitizing techniques
- Maintain all safety standards, including the proper maintenance of equipment, cleanliness, and storage practices required by the Board of Health and PSOB
- Innovate and prepare special dishes for holidays, events, curriculum theme
- Maintain overall professional personal appearance and behavior, adhering to the guidelines offered in the PSOB Employee Handbook

Our Chef is integral to fulfilling our mission to be the premier preschool in New England. Responsibilities include managing our on-site warming kitchen and ensuring our customers – parents - value the selection, variety, and quality of the food we serve and assess that they cannot get the same level of good-tasting food and nutritional care in any other preschool.
· Must be ServSafe and Allergen certified
· Must have experience preparing food and serving according to a set schedule
· Must have experience managing food service for individuals with food allergies
